The Rock Pirates RC Rum Runner was designed to be the ultimate 1/10 scale comp crawler and hardline killer. The skid forward design is the perfect performance balance between skid forward (breakover) and front link length (front axle flex and ability to settle).
The design contents of this kit are the result of many months of testing in comps, resulting in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place podiums in many of them.
No longer do you need to spend hours upon hours trying to figure out the right components needed to fit your comp truck build and then wonder if they will work together.

This kit is NOT preassembled and is not intended to be a full builders kit. It does not include electronics, transmission, axles, driveshafts and some hardware. Further below is more build information and videos to help you get the right remaining parts for your build. Many of these parts are also available at Rock Pirates RC.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Carbon Fiber full length chassis rails, skid forward at 7 degrees. Carefully located mounting holes for links and shock tunning, as well as mounting points for other accessories.
Chassis is super low profile and light weight for low center of gravity.
Special attention given to axle and link clearances for maximum suspension compression and travel. This thing is a flex monster and super low CG.
Full adjustable low profile rear shock towers.
Multiple rear bumper mounting holes to allow the builder to cut the chassis do desired length if needed and still be able to mount a rear bumper.
Rock Pirates RC unique Kraken Pro Skid which is tapered (thinner in the rear) for better drive shaft angles (very important).
High clearance stainless steel link set specially designed and machined for the Rum Runner chassis kit. With Vanquish F-10 axles or Element Portal axles the wheelbase is 12.8 inches.
Like all Rock Pirates RC Sliders our new Rum Runner Comp sliders are angled front and rear for good approach and dissent angles. We then took them another level by elevating the leading edge of the sliders and integrating a version of our Plank Mini Battery tray on too them. The design keeps the battery strap on the top side of the slider only and keeps the bottom of the sliders perfectly smooth for no hangups. Constructed of lightweight aluminum. The battery tray is already threaded, and mounting screws provided. We also included access holes for the rod end grub screws, for quick rod end change out should one break.

Vanquish F10 Axles fit the Rum Runner Chassis Kit perfectly. The F10 Portals are our preferred setup. Note: We mount the bottom of our shocks at the lower link mounts both front and rear. Wheelbase 12.8 inches.
The new Element Portal axles will also fit perfectly. In this set up you will want to mount the upper front links to the inside of the bottom shock mounts. This keeps the front links triangulated nicely. Wheelbase 12.8 Inches.
The Axial Pro axles work with most of the links in this kit except the front top links and servo link. Wheelbase 12.8 Inches.
