No More Destroying Delrin Blank Skids! Rock Pirates RC invented a super easy, inexpensive tool that makes installing your transmission on a blank skid a breeze!

4 Collared Stainless Steel M3 Locating Pins. 

1 Drill Bit 1/8" 

1 Counter Sink Tool

Important Instructions, Read Before You Start:

Assemble your chassis first, including installation of your links. 

Install your motor to your transmission.

Install the RPRC locating pins in each transmission mounting hole. Screw them in until the collar of the pin is flush to the bottom of the transmission, DO NOT TIGHTEN. 

Hold the transmission assembly over the blank skid and find the best location for it. Make sure your location doesn't interfere with your upper link screws/nuts and that the transmission mounting holes DO NOT interfere with the lower link mounting screws in the Blank Skid. Take your time and think everything through.

Once the transmission location has been identified, set the transmission on the blank skid and press down very firmly until the locating pins leave divots in the Delrin Skid. 

Use the drill bit provided and with your fingers, center the drill bit into the divots. By using your fingers you should be able to feel if you are in the center of the divot. Turn the drill bit clockwise in the center of the divot until it cuts a small recess. This will keep the drill bit from walking when you start drilling. 

Install the drill bit in your drill and drill all the way through. 

Install the provided Counter Sink Tool into your drill and counter sink the holes on the bottom side of the skid. GO SLOW and Take Your Time so you don't go to deep. Just go deep enough so that the top of the transmission mounting screws are flush with the bottom of the skid when tightened. 

Remove the locating pins and install your transmission.
